1.1. By your visa application you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions in full.
1.2. If a departing flight from Socotra to any destination is cancelled, delayed, or rescheduled and the guest is required to remain on the island beyond the scheduled itinerary, an additional charge of USD 200 per person, per day will apply. This charge covers accommodation, meals, staffing, logistics, and on-ground support and is non-refundable.
1.3. In case of cancellation from the airlines due to any circumstances like bad weather, Force Majeure events, alternate option or changes, the visa fees and hotel booking are nonrefundable.
1.4. No journalism, interviews, or research work can be conducted on a tourist visa: you will need a special permit, ask us how.
Changes to itinerary & services
2.1. Socotra Essence Expeditions reserves the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, transportation, or activities due to operational or safety considerations.
2.2. Such changes do not entitle guests to refunds.
Travel documents & insurance
3.2. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended.
3.1. Guests are responsible for ensuring valid passports, visas, and travel documents.
Health & medical responsibility
4.1. All medical expenses, treatment, hospital visits, or evacuations are the sole responsibility of the guest.
Losses
5.1. Socotra Essence Expeditons strive to provide a safe and enjoyable experience during our tours. However, we are not liable for losses, damage, injuries, delays, or costs caused by third parties, airlines, Force Majeure events, or any other circumstances beyond its control.
Privacy
6.1. We take privacy seriously and implement appropriate measures to protect customer data. We do not share personal information with third parties unless required by law.
6.2. Guests grant Socotra Essence Expeditions the right to use images and videos captured during tours unless declined in writing prior to travel. We reserve the right to use and post these pictures on our website, social media and review outlets.
Intellectual property
7.1. All content on our website, including text, images, and logos, is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited.
Governing law
8.1 These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the government of Socotra. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Socotra, Yemen.
